Meet Brittany Barbera!
Brittany is a local talent who has many creative gifts including being an extremely gifted singer. Brittany's family includes two sisters, one brother and a FANTASTIC mother who provided Brittany and her family with a strong sense of faith and stability.

A serious academic, Brittany has two Bachelor of Arts degrees; one in Communications and one in Studio/Performing Arts. She is in the process of looking for a professional position that will fit her talents and education. Ideally, one in the music industry or in music ministry where she can use her gifts for God. Although she's quite the academic, Brit is also known as a big prankster and enjoys playing pranks on her friends. Maybe her birthday falling on April Fools day has something to do with her penchant for practical jokes? Her friends like to take this day as a "pay back" day to try and pull one over on her!

But seriously, Brit has a heart for God that has been with her since she was a small girl growing up in a christian elementary school. She re-dedicated her life to God at significant times in her life when she made an active decision as an adolescent and then an adult to take a personal responsibility in her walk and to actively participate in God's will for her life.

Brittany is passionate about many things (activities) but all tend to revolve around a central theme...inspiration. She desires to live a life of purpose and to fulfill God's plan for her life...and to inspire and give hope to others to do the same so that they can see what is possible when we surrender our lives/our will to Christ. She is passionate about activities where she can minister to others through singing, mentoring, listening and praying.

Brittany has been integrally involved in The Thread from the inception and helped to bring this service to life by working on the team that started it. She willingly serves on the Coffee Crew at The Thread and brings her musical talents to the service on occasion. She also serves on the Praise Team and as a Soloist in the morning services at Calvary.

Brittany is committed to The Thread because there is a need. Each aspect of The Thread (refreshments, music, message, sound/visuals, etc) is important to the overall effectiveness of the service and the development of christian community/service. She would like everyone to know that The Thread is a place where all are welcome, where they will be given practical advice on how to live Godly lives, to understand scripture and how to apply it to everyday life. It is an outreach for those who may otherwise not be reached but also includes many people already participating in ministries at Calvary Baptist Church.

Thanks Brittany for everything you do for The Thread community!
